The End & new beginnings:
We played our last gigs for the foreseeable future this past weekend. We had the pleasure of playing with the lovely lads from Heartless. This heralds the end of our 18 month s/t lp run. Thanks to all the labels, all the promoters & all of you for coming to the gigs. We are now on a self imposed gig ban until we have the new lp written. There are demos bouncing around our inboxes already so its off to a great start. See you all sometime in 2013!

Update:
We’ve been quiet on tumblr for a while as facebook seems to be the go to medium for on the fly updates. Since we last posted here we’ve toured the US with Torch Runner (awesome band new lp is deadly), Tom broke his collar bone on that tour but has since healed enough that we were able to play some gigs with Vestiges & Downfall of Gaia the past weekend (more awesome bands - check them out if they’re playing in your town)
Thats the end of our s/t lp tour run. Its been a great 12 months. We got to tour the USA twice & Europe once. It was such a great trip. Thanks so much to Distroy Records, Contraszt Records, Cavity Records, Timo @ Alerta tours, Bryan Funck, John Schmitt, Torch Runner & our workhorse of a van. Thanks to all the people who booked shows for us & cooked us food.
We’ve to write a new album now so hopefully it will come easy as the last one took forever. We’ll be back in October to play some Irish shows with Heartless.

We’re home at last. 9 countries, 5780 miles driven & 27 shows in a row - Best tour ever! Thanks so much to anyone who ran a show, cooked us food, let us stay at their house or bought an lp/shirt.
We start writing new songs once our ears stop ringing from this tour. No shows planned for 2012 until we hook up with Torch Runner for US East Coast tour 10th to 27th May. Cant fucking wait!!
We picked up the re-press of the lp while on tour. Its on transparent green vinyl this time. All our copies are gone but Contraszt & Distroy have more copies so go there to pick one up. The US press via Cavity Records should be out very soon. We’re just having some logistical problems getting sleeves moved from the Bay area to East Coast. More news on that when we have it.

Tour update:

We’re in Belgium since yesterday. Played in Ieper last night. Getting new break pads fitted on the van today. Then we travel to Holland tonight to play - Nijmegen Onderbroek
Broke two crash cymbals in the UK so a stop at musicstore is on the cards Thursday. Picking up the new pressing of the lp then too so Thursday is gona be sweet!

We got in at no.3 in the top 10 Irish albums of 2011 on http://thegrindthatannoys.blogspot.com Lots of other good bands on there & two other Galway bands also. Up the Wesht! We also got a decent review in Trust Zine. Here is the translation:
“Crust is in most cases nothing more than badly played Metal. From time to time, though, it’s a little more. Bacchus is one of those exceptions. This band from Ireland sounds somehow fresh and unused. Intelligent and also powerful. The lyrics are built with the same construction kit as almost all Crustbands, but this band has something special. For sure, you can mosh, swinging your filthy dreadlocks in the air. A beer in your hand would fit as well. But you can enjoy this record also sober and short-haired. it’s a well-rounded thing! This is not as elegiac as Fall of Efrafa or Fake Empire, but this record still doesn’t sound frumpy or dull. Besides that the Artwork is really amazing and very dark. For this band, I’d probably even go to the Köpi. Something i absolutly rarely do…”
